Пожалуйста,проверьте текст(6 класс,английский)!Буду очень благодарна!Hello! Soon we will finish our English textbook. There are a lot of interesting dialogues, texts, new words and beautiful pictures. The textbook teaches us to read,to translate and to understand texts. But I would like to tell you about the 8th unit of our textbook. It has the title -«We have a lot in common».This unit tells us about hobbies, English holidays and our pets. It`s very interesting! We have known a lot of new things! For example about the British, who calls TV-the box. Now I have some new information for you about English holidays! On the 25th of December there is the greatest holiday of all in England – Christmas. Many people send Christmas cards to their friends and relatives. People buy a Christmas tree and decorate it with toys, colored balls and lights. Every year there is a big Christmas tree in the center of London, in Trafalgar Square. This is a present from Norway. Children wake up early to find stockings full of small presents on their bed. The traditional Christmas dinner consists of roast turkey, potatoes and Chritsmas pudding. On Christmas people wish their nearest and dearest "merry Christmas". On the 14th of February there is St. Valentine’s Day. People send Valentine’s cards to persons whom they love. Usually they don’t sign them – you must guess who sent cards to you. In March there is a holiday for English women – Mother’s Day. All the family tries to make it day off for mother and help her in any way they can. On that day they visit their mothers and give them presents and “A Mother’s Day Cards” . In April or at the end of the March English people celebrate Easter Day.This holiday is of religious origin. In England it is time to give and to get presents. On Easter Sunday children get chocolate eggs and rabbits. So, English holidays have much in common with Russian ones. In the 7th form we will have a new textbook. What will be in it? I think that there will be a lot of NEW information, pictures, texts, words, and dialogues.
