A student’s day
I study at the Pedagogical University. My student’s day begins at 6.30. I’m opening the window and turning on the radio. I’m doing my morning exercises to the music. At a quarter to seven I’m in the bathroom. I’m just taking a cold shower, drying myself on the towel and cleaning my teeth. Then I’m doing my hair before the looking-glass. After that I’m dressing. At 7 a.m. I’m having breakfast. For breakfast I prefer porridge or cornflakes and green tea. At half past seven I’m going to the University. I’m going to the University by bus. It takes me an hour to get there.
My classes begin at half past eight. I’m never late for my classes. The classes usually are over at 2 p.m. My friends and I are having dinner. After dinner I’m going to the laboratory to have some practice in pronunciation. My friends are going to the reading-room to prepare their homework there.
At 6 o’clock I’m just coming home after a walk. I’m having a short rest. I’m watching TV or listening music. At 7 p.m. I’m making my homework. I’m writing exercises, listening texts on tape-recorder and reading books. At 12 I’m going to bed. The student’s day is over.
Our University
I’m second-year-student at the Yaroslavl State Teacher Training University. It was founded on the 7th December 1908. There are 9 Faculties at our University which train teachers in many subjects. The main building of our University is fine old building with beautiful columns. The first students entered it more than 100 years ago. It goes without saying we, students, are very proud of this fact. Many great professors teach at our University.
I study at Faculty of Foreign languages. This Faculty was founded in 1942. We have good libraries and reading-room and for those who go in for sport there are good gymnasiums and a stadium.
At present we have quite a lot of work as we have German and English practice, Grammar and Phonetics, Linguistic, History of our native land and other subjects. There are an English and German speaking clubs at our Faculty. It gives us a good opportunity to master the languages. I’m working hard at my pronunciation.
There is a good language laboratory at our Faculty where we work with cassette-recorders. It helps us to find out our mistakes and to get rid of them in the shortest possible time.
Seasons and Weather
The year is divided into four seasons – they are winter, spring, summer and autumn.
When winter comes, we are to spend more time at home because it’s cold outside. Ponds, lakes, rivers and streams are frozen, the frost sparkles on the branches and icicles hang from the houses. There are crowds of people on skating-ring. A merry group of schoolboys is having a fight with snowballs. It’s very pleasant while the frost lasts; the unpleasant time comes when the thaw begins.
Then spring comes. In spring nature awakens from her long winter sleep. The soft white clouds are floating across the blue sky, the sun is shining brightly. The trees are filling with new life. The fields and meadows are covered with fresh green grass.
When summer comes the weather gets warmer and sometimes it’s very hot. It’s farmer’s busy season. He works in his fields from morning till night. Summer is my favorite season because I have holydays. I can go to the beach to sunbathe and get a suntan. On sandy beach I often play volleyball. I don’t swim much but I like to have a paddle. The weather in summer is wonderful.
Autumn brings with it the harvest time. The days get shorter and the nights longer. The woof turn yellow and brown, leaves begin to fall from the trees. The sky is grey and it often rains. Everyone is wearing a mackintosh or carrying an umbrella. The cars and busses do along the street; they splash the water and mud on the passers-by. Sometimes a thick frog is spreading over city.

Ответ(ы) на вопрос:
I’m watching TV or listening music. !!! Verb Confusion For correct usage, you may need to reword your sentence by adding a preposition directly after the marked verb or by substituting a more appropriate verb. It is incorrect to put a direct object after the marked verb.
