Japan (jap. Nihon, Nippon), officially Nihon koku, Nippon koku (INF.) (jap. ) is an island nation in East Asia. Located in the Pacific ocean East of the sea of Japan, China, North and South Korea, and Russia. Occupies the territory from the sea of Okhotsk in the North to the East China sea and Taiwan in the South.
