Statement A: The United Kingdom is a small country. It is one of the leading countries now because it had many rich colonies in the past.

Statement C: British people don't travel much because they live not too far from the sea (ocean).

(Мне кажется, что UK не маленькая страна. Я думаю, что она одна из ведущих стран сейчас, т.к. у нее было много богатых колоний в прошлом.)

As I see it, British people don't travel much because they live not too far from the sea, besides they love their country very much (they are very patriotic).
