Бруклинский мост — один из старейших висячих мостов в США, его длина составляет 1825 метров, он пересекает пролив Ист-Ривер и соединяет районы Бруклин и Манхэттен Нью-Йорка. На момент окончания строительства он являлся самым большим подвесным мостом в мире и первым мостом, в конструкции которого использовались стальные прутья. Длина центрального пролета моста - 486 метра.
Первоначальное название — Мост Нью-Йорка и Бруклина (англ. New York and Brooklyn Bridge). Строительство моста началось 3 января 1870 года инженером-проектировщиком Джоном Реблингом и продолжалось 13 лет уже под руководством сначаля сына, а потом и жены Реблинга - Эмили. В 1964 году мост попал в список Национальных Исторических достопримечательностей.
