On a cold winter night Harris was returning home. The weather was terrible and a strong wind was blowing and it was very dark. Harris was coming to his house when he saw a tall man who was knocking on Harris’s door. “Hello,” said Harris. “My name is Harris Porter. I live here. And who are you?” “My name is John Perry. I’m tired and cold. And I’m hungry too. The King’s men are after me. They are trying to catch me and kill me. It’s the question of life and death” “I see,” said Harris. “Let’s come into my house. It is warm there. A fire is burning in the fireplace. I think I can help you.” They entered the house. Harris gave John his clothes, put a chair for him at the fireplace and made tea. They were talking when the King's men came into the house looking for John. Harris told them that John was his brother and then they left the house. Harris and John made good friends.
