I will never forget what I was doing when I heard about the death of Princess Diana. It was Sunday morning and A _____. I got up and made myself a cup of coffee. It was about ten past seven. At that time there is usually some farming news on the radio. On Sundays there are also religious programmes. I don't usually listen to the radio early on Sunday mornings but I switched it on.
A woman in the studio was asking questions and a man was answering them by telephone. Tne man said: "We must think about the children at this tragic time." Tragic? What was he thinking about? B ______ and a few seconds later the woman said: "We have changed this morning's programmes to bring you news of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales." I felt a terrible shock and C _______. That morning I telephoned about 25 people but D _______. We didn't know what to do. Eventually my sister and I decided to go to Kensington Palace, where Diana lived.
E _______, there were about a thousand of people there. Some of them were putting flowers at the palace gates. Others were standing quietly in Kensington Gardens. A lot of people were crying and embracing each other. There were a lot of journalists and photographers. My sister waas very angry F ______. "Go away!" she shouted at one of them. "This is all your fault!"
