Её разновидностью является следующая структура:

Синтаксическая структура 3 (a): Subject + V + Object + Indirect Object

Глаголы в этих двух структурах называют двухобъектными (имеющими два дополнения – прямое и косвенное). К ним относят только те глаголы, за которыми следуют две именные группы или в такой конструкции: именная группа плюс предлог to/for плюс именная группа. Трехактантными глаголами являются в основном глаголы речи: tell, express, report, present (в значении «излагать»), explain, prove, declare, proclaim, confirm, affirm, assign, recommend, mention, prompt, confess, announce и давания: give, lend, offer, pass, show, deliver, sentence, distribute, grant, sacrifice, lend, allow, convey, и др. Также к трехвалентным относятся глаголы cause, refuse, teach, wish, buy, save [15, С. 139]. Следующие примеры являются иллюстрацией данных синтаксических структур:

Miss Bingley offered Elizabeth a glass of wine.

Mrs. Bennet gave Jane no carriage.

The servant delivered the letter for Jane.

Mr. Hurst said nothing interesting.

Elizabeth couldn’t sacrifice her happiness.

I’m sure Jane will happily settle at Netherfield.

In a few days Mr. Bingley paid a visit to Longbourn.

The girls grieved over such a number of ladies.
