Yesenin was born in Konstantinovo village in a peasant family in 1895. He studied in local collage for 5 years and later entered the parish secondary teacher's school. In 1913 he left for Moscow and started to visit the lectures at the Historical-Philosophical Department of the Moscow University named after A. L. Shanyavsky. He worked in a printing house and made friends with the poets and paiters.  His first poems were published in magazine for children in 1914. Yesenin moved to Petrograd. His fist book "Radunica" was published in 1916. His life was very interesting and full of events. He visited many differen places. He saw a war. And he fell in love with many women.  It really made his poems unique and special. Indeed Yesenin is called one of the greatest Russian poets.
