To buy a thing, I can;
The pence are here and here's the fair,
But where's the lost young man?
--To think that two and two are four
And neither five nor three
The heart of man has long been sore
And long 'tis like to be.

У меня было мало денег (пенсов)
И я был вынужден долго смотреть на вещи
Которых я не мог купить
Теперь времена изменились : если я захочу
Что-нибудь, я куплю это
Деньги здесь, и ярмарка рядом
Но где же потерянный молодой человек ? (тут я не поняла смысла)
Я знаю что дважды два - четыре
А не пять или даже не три
И сердце человека болит
Так долго сколько и должно.
