In 1957 it was decided to build a television tower to place it on the television aerial. Chief Architect - LI Batalov. Powerful transmitters have provided programs reception at a distance of 120 km from the tower. Then the tower has become one of the tallest building in the world.  Ostankino Tower is located in Moscow. It has a height of 540 meters.
