Christmas (xmas), or christmas Day, is an important and very special religious holiday for milions of people all over the world. People in Britan and many other countries of europe celebrate this festival on 25 december. They celebrete it as the day when jesus christ was born and send greetings to each other. It is often cold, wet and foggy at Christmas in Britain. Families Decorate their home and Christmas trees and often put candles in each window to show that Jesus Christ in the light of the World.
You can see christmas light on the streets. People often hang them there. There are Christmas trees in squares and ofher important places. People decorate them with bells, bright balls, christmas stockings, toys and lights. You can hear music from different plaves.

Рождество -- это очень важный и особенный религиозный праздник для миллионов людей по всему миру. В Британии и других странах Европы празднуют его 25-ого декабря. Отмечают как день,когда родился Иисус. В Британии на Рождество часто холодно,сыро и туманно. Люди украшают свои дома и рождественские ели,у каждого окна зачастую ставят свечу,в знак того,что Иисус Христос -- луч света в мире. На улицах тоже можно видеть рождественские огоньки. Здесь их часто вешают. На площадях и других важных местах стоят рождественские ели. Украшают их колокольчиками,яркими шариками,рождественскими чулками,игрушками и лампочками. Отовсюду слышна музыка.
День накануне Рождества называется Сочельником. В Англии это очень напряжённое время для многих семей.
