C. The southern parts of England and Wales are usually a little warmerand sunnier than the rest of the country. Average temperatures are from4 °С in January to 16 °С in July and August. During a normal summer, thetemperature sometimes rises above 25 degrees in the south.
D. The weather in Great Britain is so changeable that the British often saythey have no climate but only weather. They also say they have three variantsof weather: when it rains in the morning, when it rains in the afternoon,or when it rains all day long. In general, weather is a favourite topicof conversation in the UK.
