Until today, I parade to the victory day only for watching TV. I know that this day was a great victory of the red army and the Soviet people over the fascists Germany. This year our family decided to go to the city center at the Grand opening of the parade.
Coming out of the house to the street with us had a lot of people who were going to go on holiday. When they reached the center of all the people, went to the main square, everyone chest hung a ribbon. People smiled, in the hands of carrying carnations, flags and a feeling that all know each other for many years.
On the square itself played military music, and all was ready for the start of the parade. Taking the vacant seat, I began to peer into the distance, eagerly waiting for military equipment. Suddenly the music stopped playing, there was silence, the air was dense. My heart was panting, I looked at the others, there were small children and very elderly people. But as one silently waited for something, suddenly loud and clear familiar voice from the TV announced the opening of the parade and at the same moment rang the bell.
Under the brass band commander detonated the frozen troops first marched passed the guard, carrying the banner and flag of the Russian Federation. Behind them came the rest of the troops movement, I'm familiar voice was introduced to all of the outgoing regiment. And then, finally, he heard the sound of the engine of military equipment. I raised up on tiptoe, and craned his neck so, looking forward to their appearance.
The ground beneath their feet trembled, approached the famous T-34 tank, so far I haven't seen it. A huge armored personnel carriers, rocket launchers, and the latest tanks, host fighting. With pride and think with my mouth open I watched and admired. Overhead rose the hum of flying military helicopters and fighter jets.
I noticed that standing next to grandma's eyes shone, but she smiled and seen that he wanted to cry. My chest ached, I remember when I was very young, my grandfather told me how their kids kept the Germans in captivity. As the bayonet pierced the gutta-percha doll my great-grandmother. They survived and were participants in the war, but failed to survive to the present day. In Dali on the contrary, I noticed a lot of seniors with awards on his chest. Just today I realized that every year we celebrate not only the victory, but the memory of those people who participated in the war.
