Ученик: Дж. СвифтI know many English writers. One of them is Jonathan Swift. J. Swift was a famous English writer. He wrote a satirical novel “Gulliver’s Travels”. In this novel he showed England of his time. People liked the book not only in England but in other countries too.

Ученик: Ч. ДиккенсAnd I’d like to tell you about Ch. Dickens, one of the greatest writers of English critical realism. I read his books such as “Oliver Twist”, “David Copperfield”. In his works the author raised social problems.

Ученик: В. СкоттAnother famous English writer is W. Scott. He is the founder of historical novel in England. I know his book “Ivanhoe”. In this book he described England at the time of Richard the First, the 12-th century. Robin Hood and his friends are shown in “Ivanhoe”. As we know, R. Hood was a legendary hero who helped poor people. W. Scott wrote the best pages of his novel about them.

(Телевизионные определения/ Поле чудес)

Уровень: любой

Оптимальный размер группы: 10 учеников( если группа больше- см. ВАРИАНТЫ)

Цель: для продвинутых классов- повторить или изучить идиоматические выражения. Для начального и среднего уровня- повторить активный словарь и орфографию.

Необходимый материал: доска или проектор, несколько определений загадываемых слов.

Описание: группа делится на 5 команд по 2 игрока в каждой. Игрок одной команды называет букву. Которой, как ему кажется. Нет в загаданном слове. Если названной буквы в слове действительно нет, его партнер по команде называет в свою очередь букву, которая, как ему кажется, есть в заданном слове. Если это так, отгаданную букву вписывают вместо прочерка, а вся команда может попробовать угадать все слово. Если первый игрок назвал букву, которой, как он считает, нет в слове. А она там есть, ход переходит к следующей команде, и уже она может попробовать угадать слово, не называя букв

Если буквы, которую называет второй игрок в этом слове нет, команда теряет возможность угадывать слово, а ход переходит к следующей команде. Например:
